Candle Care

OUR STORY HERE’S TO DREAMY DAYS AND COZY, CANDLELIT NIGHTS

The first time you burn your candle, you have it lit for at least 4-5 hours, or until the melt pool hits the sides of the candle jar. Every time you light the candle after, burn until the melt pool has re-established itself to the edge. This will prevent tunneling. Burn times vary depending on temperature of location and air flow, try to keep away from AC units and Fans.

TRIM YOUR WICK!

If you are experiencing problems with smoking or your wick staying lit, it usually means your wick needs a trim. Wicks should be kept at 1/4" at all times. Your wick should be trimmed every 4 hours of burn time. This helps keep the flame the appropriate size for safety, and the longest possible burn time.

SAFETY

To prevent fire, burn within sight. Have distance from things that catch fire. Keep away from children and pets. Burn on heat safe surface. For best results, burn until wax melts evenly across container not exceeding 4 hours. Keep wax pool free of debris. Avoid drafts, AC's, and fans. Never touch or move a hot candle with your bare hands!

CLEANING & RECYCLING

One of the many benefits of soy wax is that it is easy to clean with soap and water because of how soft it is. If you experience a spill of melted wax, don't worry, just clean it with warm water and soap!

IT IS SAFEST TO RETIRE YOUR CANDLE WITH 1/2" OF WAX REMAINING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE JAR1. STICK YOUR JAR INTO THE FREEZER FOR A MINIMUM OF THREE HOURS OR LONGER(WE LEAVE OURS OVERNIGHT) (AS THE WAX COOLS, IT SHRINKS, ALLOWING IT TO REMOVE FROM THE GLASS.2. USE A BUTTER KNIFE TO CARVE AN 'X' INTO THE REMAINING WAX, THEN USE YOUR BUTTER KNIFE TO FOLLOW THE EDGE WHERE THE WAX MEETS THE GLASS, THIS LOOSENS UP THE WAX3. USE YOUR BUTTER KNIFE TO PRY OUT REMAINING WAX AND POP WICK TAB OUT FROM THE BOTTOM.4.USE HOT, SOAPY WATER TO GET ANY REMAINING RESIDUE CLEANED UP
